QR Code

Generate scannable QR codes for instant access from printed materials.

Overview

Every photo request automatically generates a QR code that links directly to the upload page. QR codes are perfect for:

  • Printed materials (stickers, labels)
  • Physical locations (vehicles, properties)
  • Documentation and forms
  • Equipment and assets

How It Works

  1. Scan: Customer scans QR code with phone camera
  2. Open: Phone shows link to photo request
  3. Tap: Customer opens the link
  4. Upload: Camera opens for photo capture

Most modern smartphones can scan QR codes directly with the camera app.

For Permanent Links, the QR code is especially useful because:

  1. Same code always: Print once, use forever
  2. Custom URL: Memorable URL even without scanning
  3. Unlimited uses: Multiple people can scan

Troubleshooting

QR Code Won't Scan

  1. Check size: May be printed too small
  2. Improve lighting: Ensure adequate light
  3. Clean camera: Wipe phone camera lens
  4. Try different app: Some QR scanner apps work better
  5. Enter code manually: Use simplified code

Code Leads to Wrong Page

  1. Verify you downloaded the correct QR code
  2. Check if the request was deleted or archived
  3. Confirm the QR code matches current request

Code is Expired

If the underlying request has expired:

  1. Create a new request
  2. Generate new QR code
  3. Replace printed materials

For recurring needs, use Permanent Links which don't expire.
